About

Most businesses don't need more technology. They need the right technology.

Mako Core started by solving one problem for one company. It became a way to help owner-led businesses work out what to change, put it in place, and keep up as the market moves.

Why we exist

The gap is knowing what to do

Owner-led businesses are being told to adopt AI, rebuild their marketing, automate their operations, and rethink how customers find them — all at the same time. Most of that advice is generic, and acting on the wrong part of it is expensive.

The hard part is not access to tools. It is working out which changes matter for your business, in what order, and whether they actually worked. That is the job Mako does.

What we believe

How we work with businesses

The software should adapt to the business

Most tools ask the customer to learn a new system and configure it correctly. Mako takes what you tell us about your business and sets itself up around it.

AI prepares, people decide

Nothing goes out under your name without someone approving it. That is a product rule, not a setting.

Useful beats impressive

We only recommend something when we think it will move a number you care about. Sometimes the honest answer is that technology is not the problem.

Software alone is not enough

Every business we work with has a person they can talk to. When something needs building, we build it rather than pretending a generic tool will do.

Where we are today

Deliberately small, on purpose

We work with a limited number of businesses so each one gets real attention. Every industry we support was shaped with a company actually running it.

Everyone else

Most of what Mako does is not industry-specific. If your business does not appear here, that is not a no.
